Rite Aid Deals.

I am new to doing the drugstore coupon-ing deals but have been watching several blogs and forums on the how-to's of all this coupon business. Way back, when I only had 1 kid and less than $40 a week for grocery shopping, I used to do the double coupon thing at my local grocery store. I used to come home with a cart full and spent way less than the average person on grocery and beauty products. I eventually realized the food I was buying was not-so-good for us and changed our eating to mostly from scratch. Now I am re-visiting the coupon world but in a different way!
My first trip to Rite Aid..check out what I got!

My first transaction:

Huggies: 2 @ 12.49 =$24.98
minus 2 manufacturers coupons for $1.50 each (-$3.00)
minus $2.00 Rite Aid Rebate for one of the diapers

Total: $ 19.98

Huggies Wipes: 1 @ $2.50
minus 1 manufacturers coupon for $.50 off
minus $2.00 Rite Aid rebate on 1 wipes

Total: FREE

Kleenex tissue: $.99 cents minus a $.40 manufac coupon
Total: $.59

I also had two other incentives to make this order much cheaper. A $5 off of $25 purchase that they emailed me for signing up for an online acct AND right now (through the 22nd) you get a $10 gift card for purchasing $25 worth of Kimberly Clark products (which is what these are)

So after I gave all my coupons and when I get my $14.00 in rebates back (which is only about 2 weeks) My total (plus tax) cost for the diapers, wipes and tissue was only $7.31!!! Not bad eh?

2nd Transaction (and totally not planned..but since i had my coupons with me.....)

They were having buy 1 get 1 50% off of their Sally Hanson nail stuff. There were $1.00 off peelies on the packages..The first one cost $2.60, the second @ 50% off was only $1.30. Add those together = $3.90 minus the two dollar off coupons....they both were only $1.90!

The mascara was on clearance for $2.23. I had a $2.00 off coupon....it was $.23!

The liquid bronzer stuff (never used it before...lol) was $1.98. I had a $3.00 off coupon...I MADE $1.02 on it!! LOL. They gave me the full coupon price which took away from the cost of the first items (nail polish). I also added in a $1.00 roll of TP because we needed it and I didn't want to pay full price for a whole package..lol

My total cost for that transaction (inclu tax) $3.02!!

I wanted to also add that I use cloth diapers for my 15 month old son, but since he has gotten older he has been more prone to rashes with the cloth..not to mention my washing machine only works with a cold wash...so we use cloth during the day while at home and sposies at night and while we are out. I really like the savings I get with cloth and was feeling guilty about wasting money on sposies...now I can have the best of both worlds and use both and still be frugal!

I am looking forward to sharing more deals as I come across them!
